About me
Hi, I'm Beth.
I'm a degree-qualified naturopath and clinical herbalist, and the founder of Lazenby Wellness.
I believe healthcare should leave you with more than a list of symptoms and a collection of things to try. You deserve to understand your health — what may be contributing to the way you feel, what your body is telling you, and what you can realistically do about it.
My work is particularly focused on complex gut health and digestive health, supporting people experiencing concerns such as IBS, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, food reactions and ongoing digestive discomfort.
I also have a special interest in thyroid health, healthy ageing and vitality, helping people take a proactive approach to their health as they get older — with a focus on energy, metabolic health, cardiovascular health, brain health and long-term wellbeing.
A little about my journey
My interest in naturopathy isn't just professional — it started with my own health.
At 18, I was diagnosed with IBS. I was experiencing ongoing digestive symptoms and, like many people with gut issues, I was looking for answers and a way to actually feel better. At the time, I didn't feel I had the support or direction I needed to understand what was happening.
Years later, in my mid-twenties, I saw a naturopath for the first time.
That experience changed everything.
For the first time, I had someone take the time to look beyond the label of IBS and consider the bigger picture of my health. We explored my symptoms, nutrition, lifestyle and individual health history, and I began to understand that there was more to my digestive health than simply having a diagnosis.
It was this experience that sparked my passion for naturopathic medicine and ultimately led me to study Natural Medicine and become a qualified naturopath and clinical herbalist.
I know what it feels like to have ongoing gut symptoms and not know where to turn next. I also know how empowering it can be when someone takes the time to listen, investigate and actually explain what may be happening.
That experience continues to shape the way I work with my clients today.
My goal is to give people the kind of clarity and personalised support that I was looking for when I first began my own health journey.
Special Interests
-
The gut is far more than digestion.
Your gastrointestinal system interacts with your immune system, metabolism, nervous system and overall nutritional status. When digestion isn't functioning well, the effects can extend far beyond your stomach.
I have a particular interest in complex gut health, supporting people experiencing concerns such as:
IBS • Bloating • Constipation • Diarrhoea • SIBO • Digestive discomfort • Food reactions • Dysbiosis • Reflux
Rather than assuming every digestive problem has the same solution, I look at your individual symptoms, health history, diet, lifestyle and wider health picture to understand what may be contributing.
-
Sometimes the clinical picture gives us the information we need. Sometimes we need to investigate further.
I have a particular interest in the appropriate use of functional testing to provide additional information where it may help guide your care.
Depending on your individual presentation, this may include testing relating to areas such as microbiome testing, digestive health, nutritional status, hormones or other aspects of health.
Testing isn't automatically prescribed, and more testing isn't always better. I believe every test should have a purpose — helping us answer a specific question, understand your health more clearly or make a more informed decision about your care.
The goal isn't to collect more data. It's to make the data useful.
-
The thyroid plays an important role in metabolism, energy production, temperature regulation and many other processes throughout the body.
I have an interest in supporting people with thyroid health, particularly where symptoms such as fatigue, changes in weight, digestive concerns, low mood or changes in energy may be part of a broader health picture.
Naturopathic care can sit alongside appropriate medical assessment and management, with a focus on nutrition, lifestyle and individualised natural support.
-
Getting older shouldn't mean accepting that feeling tired, flat or unwell is simply part of ageing.
I'm interested in helping people take a proactive approach to healthy ageing, supporting the foundations that influence how we feel and function over time.
This may include areas such as:
Energy & vitality • Metabolic health • Cardiovascular health • Brain health • Digestive health • Nutrition • Lifestyle
The aim isn't to chase an unrealistic idea of "anti-ageing".
It's about supporting the health, resilience and vitality that allow you to keep doing the things that matter to you.
